| Garda Overview |
Garda – This small town is located in the province of Verona. The town is in a lovely position, situated in a bay on the east shore of Lake Garda and on the slopes of Monte Baldo.
It is a popular holiday location and health resort with a lovely little marina, there is an unspoilt medieval fishing village in the oldest part of town and a 15th century parish church that is well worth a visit.

Lake Garda - is the largest lake in Italy, Thirty miles long and 10 miles across at its widest point, the lake sits in no less than three Italian regions: Lombardy, Trentino and Venetia which results in a wide variety of scenic. The best way to take in the Garda scenery is from the deck of one of the steamers, which transport locals and tourists in leisurely fashion up and down the lake.
The Villa Albertini – This is the most famous building in the town as it was the scene of an event of huge importance to the Region, as it is where Carlo Alberto signed the annexation of Lombardy in 1848.
Garda Parish Church - The church which was built in the fifteenth century and completely rebuilt in the eighteenth century. Some traces of the original church can be seen in the bell tower and the cloisters.
Bardolino - The holiday town of Bardolino is a short distance from Garda. It is an agricultural centre and famous for its wine. There are a number of historical churches here that are worth a visit.
Verona – Take a trip to this historic city and see the Roman remains and Gothic edifices.

La Sardellata di Pal del Vo (July) - During this traditional festival, lit up and decorated private boats and fishing boats distribute fresh fried sardines to the awaiting public.
Verona Opera Festival (June – August) - Arena di Verona The works of Verdi and Puccini are among those featured in the festival.
